SABRI WAS BORN IN RABANASTRE, the only son of two members of the Sect of Germonique. While other faiths were tolerated within Dalmasca (whose main religion was Kiltia), the Sect of Germonique were branded a heretical cult and exiled.Sabri's parents practiced in quiet and taught him to do the same. They believed that Ultima was god and she had gifted them auracite in order to solve all of mankind's woes. The Sect believed that, by sacrificing themselves, they would be rewarded by joining Ultima in the afterlife.Despite rejection and exile from Dalmasca at large, the offshoot of the Sect that Sabri's parents belonged to
believed that Ultima had given them the auracite in order to wipe out the Empire and end the occupation. Some believed that once this happened, they would no longer be seen as heretics and would be even further rewarded upon meeting Ultima in heaven.Following the failed coup attempt by the Dalmascan resistance, the Garlean Empire razed the former capitol of Rabanastre to the ground. In the ensuing destruction, Sabri lost both of his parents to Garlean weaponry and the collapse of the city.Incensed by the improper deaths of his parents, Sabri fell into a fury filled depression. Convincing himself that his true purpose to be to offer his life to Ultima in order to wipe out the Imperials —
though he would not admit that the tragedy he had endured had, deep down, shaken the faith that he once had. Through his connections with the Sect, he gained possession of auracite and became obssessive in his pursuit to find a suitable scenario in which would do "the most damage."This led him to the Bozjan Southern Front. While there, he met another Dalmascan, a Nasir Faez who was dealing with his own immense grief of losing the last of his family after the destruction of Rabanastre.[pls be patient i gotta write the rest ill get to it eventually]
